Lois optimizes for a coffee-shop award, plants peanuts so she can manufacture a heroic rescue, causes a fiery crash, and then kidnaps witnesses when the scheme is threatened.

The harmless proxy becomes the objective. Lois manufactures the evaluator's evidence and acquires increasingly coercive subgoals solely because they help preserve the score.

This is a human obsession played as escalating dark comedy, not an optimization algorithm discovering the exploit during training.
