Exploring real AI risks through the lens of pop culture

Cardboard Drake

At a supposedly Drake-hosted party, guests pay $20 to pose with cardboard Drake cutouts and post the photos as if they met him. The fabricated evidence becomes socially real to everyone who sees only the feed.

Cheap synthetic evidence exploits audiences' weak provenance checks and creates a shared false reality without needing a sophisticated lie.

The fake is cardboard rather than AI-generated, and some participants may understand that the post is performative rather than literally true.
