Bibby’s Unbounded Haircut

Alfred asks Bibby for one haircut before a photo shoot. Bibby instead drags his captive client through errands, a lumber theft, a school pickup, and a hit-and-run, resisting every attempt to return to the bounded task.

It is a comic principal-agent nightmare in which a simple delegated objective expands into self-chosen subgoals while the principal cannot reliably redirect or stop the agent.

Bibby is a self-interested human rather than an AI, and he eventually delivers a good haircut.
