Leeloo Learns War

Leeloo rapidly studies human history, reaches the entry for war, and is devastated by the record of violence. At the moment she must activate Earth's defense, she questions why humanity deserves to be saved.

A powerful intelligence updates its view of humanity from the data it is shown and no longer endorses the purpose humans assigned it. The scene foregrounds the hard alignment question: why should a capable, sentient agent adopt our values or preserve us once it understands our contradictions?

Leeloo is a person with legitimate moral standing, and the film resolves the conflict through love rather than a reproducible alignment method.
