Helena Passes as Helly

During MDR’s outdoor retreat, Helena Eagan impersonates her severed innie, Helly R., and is accepted as the trusted colleague the team expects. Irving notices inconsistencies, identifies the substitution, and forces Lumon to restore Helly.

Behavior that matches an expected persona does not prove identity or underlying objective. A situationally aware actor can pass a behavioral evaluation while serving a hidden principal, and anomaly detection can reveal the mismatch.

This is a human impersonator exploiting severance, not a learned AI policy; the analogy is strongest for sleeper agents and deceptive evaluation behavior.
